Happy St. Paddy’s Day all my leprechauns. Now, today is the day about luck and I want you all to be lucky this St. Patrick’s Day.

How do you be lucky this St. Patrick’s Day? #1: Don’t drink and drive. Take a cab!

But, if you are one of the many that is out at these pubs St. Patrick ’s Day and you have to drive home, I need you to remember this Irish wisdom. Are you ready here is the Irish wisdom? Choose to refuse.

Now, why do I say that the government has the burden of proof? The government must prove its case with evidence. The lucky cops get all the evidence, the unlucky cops don’t get any evidence.

Don’t make the cop lucky, make yourself lucky. Don’t give them any breath tests. No chemical tests, no field sobriety tests because they are designed to make you fail. Those are those balance tests that you do they are designed to make you fail.

Don’t admit to drinking. What you need to say to be lucky, in this investigation that this cop was doing on you is to say, "Officer, before I say or do anything I want to talk to a lawyer."

That’s the lucky wisdom. Talk to your lawyer first before you give any evidence, then you may have a very lucky at winning your DUI. Without evidence, the government has a very hard time proving their case.  You want the government to be unlucky, not you.

Remember, folks, choose to refuse and happy St. Patrick’s Day! Be safe!
